NIST extends deadline for public comments on developing privacy framework

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has issued a two-week extension for submitting comments on how it should construct a framework for privacy, the rollout of which comes amid efforts to establish a federal policies -- and perhaps a new law -- to govern privacy and data security.
