McCaul’s DHS cyber agency bill still awaiting attention in Senate

Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) on Tuesday reiterated his support for House-passed legislation to create a cyber agency at the Department of Homeland Security, but suggested he’s not quite ready to move a version in his committee.

The committee’s top Democrat said she wants the panel to hold a hearing before advancing the measure, which some observers have suggested could clear the Senate by unanimous consent.
