McAfee threat report finds malware issues reached “all time high” in the last quarter

Malware reached an “all-time high” in the third quarter of 2017, a threat report released by cybersecurity company McAfee today found.

According to the report, 57.6 million malware samples were found in the third quarter, with around four new samples per second. A major threat included in this were attempts to exploit a Microsoft vulnerability through ransomware attacks.
