House committee to mark up bill funding energy cybersecurity

The House Energy and Commerce Committee on Wednesday will mark up bipartisan legislation expanding federal assistance for securing energy infrastructure from cyber attacks, following approval by the energy subcommittee last week.

The legislation, H.R. 3050, would expand “financial assistance made available to a State” to be used to “secure the energy infrastructure of the State against all physical and cybersecurity threats,” among other purposes.
