Federal Highway Administration to hold meetings on impacts of autonomous vehicles

The Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration announced today that it plans to hold a series of “national dialogue” meetings over the next few months across the U.S. to assess the impact of autonomous vehicles on highway infrastructure, a process with significant cybersecurity implications.

In a Federal Register notice, the FHWA said that the main of objectives of the meetings, which will take place through November, are to “engage with stakeholders” on implications of autonomous vehicles for roadway infrastructure,...
