Federal court sentences Arizona man for DDoS attacks on cities

A federal district judge has sentenced an Arizona man to 20 months in prison for directing distributed denial of service attacks against several cities, including Madison, WI.

“According to admissions made in connection with his plea, between March 9 and March 14, 2015, [Randall] Tucker executed a series of DDoS attacks against various city websites, including Madison, Wisconsin,” according to the Justice Department in a press release issued Tuesday.
