FCC seeks comments on reducing regulations for 5G development

The Federal Communications Commission is requesting public comments on efforts to streamline and reduce regulatory burdens to promote the development of next generation wireless communications, or 5G.

“Streamlining rules, expediting approvals, and removing other barriers, where possible, will better enable broadband providers to build, maintain, and upgrade their networks,” the FCC says in its announcement issued Thursday requesting public comments.
