Digital-rights group CDT receives grant to study election cybersecurity

The Center for Democracy and Technology has received a grant from Democracy Fund that will go toward a two-year research project addressing cybersecurity election issues, such as voter registration and campaign data management, the CDT announced on Tuesday.

The study aims to produce “data hygiene” recommendations, a cybersecurity maturity model for election officials, and other safe cybersecurity practices that can be used in future elections, according to the CDT.
