DHS promotes cybersecurity job programs for veterans this month

In honor of Veterans Day, the Department of Homeland Security this month is prioritizing helping U.S. veterans transition into cybersecurity jobs in both the public and private sectors, DHS said Tuesday.

Veterans who have served in the field often “possess many of the skills necessary to succeed at cybersecurity,” according to a statement by the DHS-backed National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies.
