DHS awards $8.6 million in mobile cybersecurity grants

The Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate has awarded five research and development grants for projects to enhance mobile application security for the federal government.

DHS announced Wednesday that it awarded grants to Qualcomm Technologies, Lookout mobile security company, the United Technologies Researcher Center, and tech firms Apcerto and Red Hat, to pursue projects related to mobile security.
