Cyber Command seeks FY-18 funding boost for combat capabilities

The head of U.S. Cyber Command said his organization is seeking an increase in funding in the fiscal year 2018 budget request, in part to elevate it to a full-fledged combatant command.

The $647 million request represents a nearly 16 percent increase above the FY-17 funding for his command, Adm. Mike Rogers said May 23. He was testifying before the House Armed Services emerging threats and capabilities subcommittee.
