BSI launches third-party certification system for use of NIST cybersecurity framework

The British Standards Institution has formally launched its third-party verification and certification system for organizations using the National Institute of Standards and Technology's framework of cybersecurity standards, becoming the first certification organization to offer this, BSI announced Wednesday.

BSI says the program is intended to facilitate businesses' comprehensive risk management system and communication, along with offering a set of components to achieve certification, including training, software tools, and verification audits.
