Auto industry consortium develops cybersecurity research model for cars

Automotive industry research consortium FASTR has created a new model establishing a holistic approach to addressing cybersecurity in connected and autonomous vehicles, covering supply chain concerns, over-the-air software updates, infrastructure, and production and development environments.

The model connects the different components needing to be addressed “in order to accelerate a safe and reliable realization of tomorrow’s vehicles,” according to FASTR.
