American Gas Association promotes TSA pipeline security guidelines to combat cyber threats

The American Gas Association is encouraging greater industry use of the Transportation Security Administration's updated “Pipeline Security Guidelines,” saying they help natural gas utilities “remain on the offensive” against cyber threats.

In a blog post, AGA wrote that the updated guidelines, released earlier this year, featured a cybersecurity section that was rewritten to align with the National Institute of Standards and Technology's framework of cybersecurity standards, an update that will help protect against cyber threats.
