9th Circuit ruling reaffirms plaintiffs' rights in filing data lawsuits

A three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has unanimously ruled in favor of plaintiffs in a data privacy case, which prompted a Supreme Court ruling in May that was also cited in a data-breach case earlier this month in support of a class-action lawsuit.
