Privacy advocates look for strong protections in DOJ-DHS info-sharing guidance

Upcoming interim guidelines from the departments of Justice and Homeland Security will determine whether privacy provisions in the 2015 cybersecurity information-sharing law actually carry any weight, according to officials at the digital privacy group Center for Democracy and Technology.

CDT officials today discussed implementation of the cyber law, encryption and other issues as they unveiled their 2016 priorities at a press briefing.
