Civil liberties advocate urges more focused regulation of cyber exploit market

The Commerce Department should revamp proposed regulations aimed at curbing the global sale of digital weapons to unambiguously regulate the export to governments of security exploits that are explicitly marketed for surveillance purposes, civil liberties advocate Christopher Soghoian argues in a letter to the department.
