White House working to fill seats on new cyber commission

The Obama administration is working with urgency to select and appoint members to the White House's newly announced cybersecurity commission, according to Edward Felten, deputy U.S. technology officer.

Establishing the commission as soon as possible, Felten noted Thursday in a brief interview, will better enable it to tackle the considerable work it must complete before the Dec. 1 deadline in the executive order that calls for the panel.

But Felten declined to comment on whether the commission might be stood...
