U.S. Chamber: Agencies must match industry's zeal for cyber framework

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce says industry has enthusiastically bought into the spirit and details of the federal framework of cybersecurity standards -- and the broad-based industry group is urging federal agencies to do the same by streamlining rules and adopting the framework's risk-based approach.

“[F]ederal agencies and departments have yet to complete work on harmonizing pre-existing regulations with the framework,” according to the Chamber. “Cybersecurity regulations should be compatible with the risk-based approach of the framework.”
