Senators attach auto policy to comprehensive energy bill addressing cyber

The Senate Energy Committee on Tuesday approved an amendment on the cyber implications of automotive technology to a comprehensive energy bill that already addresses grid cybersecurity, clarifying how the bill could help fight energy cyber threats.

The amendment from Sens. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) promotes research, development, and rollout of transportation safety communication technologies that face major cybersecurity challenges.
