Obama executive orders create cyber commission, new privacy panel

President Obama today issued executive orders creating a commission on cybersecurity and a new council on privacy as the White House puts the finishing touches on the president's cyber policy legacy heading into his final year in office.

The administration today also rolled out a fiscal 2017 budget proposal – Obama's last – that features a major boost in cybersecurity spending.

Together, the initiatives are being packaged as a Cybersecurity National Action Plan that crystallizes the president's approach...
