NTIA extends comment deadline on developing info-sharing program for ‘trusted providers’

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration is giving industry more time to provide input on how agencies should develop a legislatively mandated program focused on info-sharing between telecoms and their suppliers.

The Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act requires NTIA to lead an interagency initiative to “share ‘supply chain security risk’ information with trusted providers of advanced communications service’ and suppliers of communications equipment or services,” according to a notice published in the Federal Register today.
