NIST seeks public comments on consumer-facing cyber issues

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is seeking public comments on a new list of proposed technology demonstration projects aimed at improving cybersecurity for consumer-facing businesses.

The proposals for National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence projects are outlined in a draft document released Thursday, which calls for public input by May 17. The document also summarizes the proceedings from NIST’s February workshop at Stanford University, a session held on the eve of the White House’s cybersecurity summit.
