NIST-backed election security working groups look to publish new guidelines in three months

Election working groups coordinated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology are aiming to finalize security requirements for inclusion in “Version 2.0” of the Election Assistance Commission’s Voluntary Voting System Guidelines, with a release date likely in the next three months, according to an election official.
