McCaul readies plan to consolidate DHS jurisdiction at Homeland Security Committee

House Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) said he will propose a change to House rules that would designate his panel as the primary committee of jurisdiction over the Department of Homeland Security, an effort that could eliminate hurdles for cybersecurity legislation – but would also face intense opposition from other panel leaders.
