FTC official: Recent DDoS attack will prompt Internet of Things enforcement cases

A distributed denial of service attack last month is likely to prompt enforcement actions against the designers and makers of Internet of Things-connected consumer products that were hacked in the incident, according to a senior lawyer at the Federal Trade Commission.
