Energy bill addressing cybersecurity expected on House floor next week

A House Energy and Commerce Committee-passed bill addressing electric grid cybersecurity is set for floor debate next week after undergoing several significant revisions, according to congressional sources.

A committee aide told Inside Cybersecurity that the bill will be debated sometime next week after the Thanksgiving recess. The House Majority Leader’s office has not announced a specific date for debate, but amendments on the bill are due today.
