DHS workshop examines needs of cyber info-sharing entities

SAN JOSE, CA -- A Department of Homeland Security workshop here in Silicon Valley culminated Thursday in a substantial industry-led discussion on the capabilities that a new class of cybersecurity information-sharing entities would likely need.

The final session at the one-day event drew significant participation from the audience. It appeared to advance DHS' effort to spur the creation of information sharing and analysis organizations, or ISAOs, proposed in President Obama's executive order on cybersecurity information sharing.
