DHS guide will clarify liability protections extend to cbyer info-sharing among private groups

The Department of Homeland Security will issue final guidance next week that will include a section clarifying that liability protections provided under the new cyber law cover the sharing of cyber-threat indicators among companies and other private entities as well as with the government.

DHS on June 15 will issue final guidance on the implementation of the Cybersecurity Act of 2015. The documents will include an “annex” on liability protections for sharing between non-federal entities, said Gabe Taran of DHS'...
