DHS cyber insurance leader steps down amid data-repository push

The Department of Homeland Security’s top cybersecurity insurance official has stepped down to join a consulting company amid DHS efforts to help the insurance industry establish a privately owned and operated cyber incident data repository.

Tom Finan – who spearheaded efforts to implement the repository idea as a senior cybersecurity strategist and counsel with DHS – left the agency last month to become chief strategy officer at Ark Network Security Solutions, according to his LinkedIn profile.
