Confidentiality is industry concern for cyber meetings with state regulators

Utility operators in Connecticut are focusing on how confidentiality will be assured in a proposal for annual one-on-one cybersecurity meetings between industry stakeholders and state officials, an issue that is also spurring intense – though somewhat different – deliberations at the federal level.

In comments submitted to state regulators on Nov. 20, Connecticut Water Company expressed concern that the meetings would involve too many parties on the government side, complicating efforts to ensure confidentiality.
