Commerce Dept.'s IoT initiative to focus on certification, incentives, existing standards

AUSTIN, TX – A new “multistakeholder” process on Internet of Things security will focus on issues such as product certification, incentives, procurement and a review of existing standards as its initial priorities in developing a framework for IoT device security, following a broad discussion here among industry, government and academic representatives.
