Administration officials say 'trust' is barrier to cyber info-sharing by private sector

Obama administration officials say a lack of trust among companies about sharing cyber-threat intelligence with the government remains an obstacle to expanded info-sharing operations – even with recent passage of the Cybersecurity Act that offers liability relief for the private sector.

Many corporate leaders “don't trust that we will use” the information shared with the government “responsibly,” Andrew Grotto of the National Security Council said Tuesday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC.
