U.S. Chamber to UK: Stick with EU data rules post-Brexit

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is urging the British government to implement the European Union's data-protection regulations as the UK negotiates plans for its departure from the EU.

The Chamber warns that a decision by the UK to chart its own path in the wake of its Brexit vote would lead to duplicative regulatory requirements that could have a chilling effect on transatlantic data flows and e-commerce.
