U.S. Chamber backs bill to enhance DOJ’s cyber capabilities

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Thursday wrote leaders of the Senate Judiciary crime subcommittee to express support for legislation aimed at enhancing the Justice Department’s ability to fight cyber attacks.

“The Chamber supports increasing the resources that law enforcement agencies need to counter and mitigate cyber threats, including investigating and prosecuting cybercrime cases internationally,” the Chamber wrote to subcommittee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and ranking member Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI). The bill was introduced Wednesday.
