States to convene cyber ‘policy academy’

Five state governments will participate in a “policy academy” aimed at developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, the National Governors Association announced Thursday.

Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada and Oregon will participate in NGA’s cyber policy academy, a “highly interactive, team-based, multi-state process” that will provide guidance and technical assistance to states from NGA staff and faculty members, as well as consultants from the private sector, federal agencies, research organizations, and academia, according to NGA.
