/ February 5, 2016

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee plans to vote Wednesday on Beth Cobert's nomination to lead the Office of Personnel Management.

Cobert, who serves as acting director, appeared before the panel on Thursday and discussed at length her cybersecurity plans for an agency that was hit by a massive data breach last year.

Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) and ranking member Tom Carper (D-DE) both expressed support for Cobert's nomination.
