Report: FBI needs to track timeliness of cyber info-sharing

The FBI's National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force should develop a process to track and measure timeliness of cyber threat information sharing to become more effective, according to a Department of Justice inspector general report.

The July 2015 report released last week on the bureau's implementation of cyber initiatives recommends the FBI increase efforts to hire computer scientists, work to recruit highly skilled cyber professionals, and continue outreach efforts to improve sharing and collaboration with the private sector.
