OMB falls behind on cyber acquisition guidance

The Office of Management and Budget is a month behind its self-imposed deadline for issuing the final version of the Obama administration’s cybersecurity guidance for federal contractors.

OMB had planned to issue the final guidance by Dec. 31, 2015. Last September, the draft version of the guidance prompted contractors to complain about the prospect of tighter controls and new requirements.
