House Intelligence Committee postpones cyber threat hearing

With the House leaving early for its August recess, the Intelligence Committee is postponing a public hearing on global cyber threats scheduled for Thursday.

The session will be rescheduled in September, according to a committee spokesman. That timing could be beneficial to an expected fall push to pass cybersecurity information-sharing legislation.

The hearing will give Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) and ranking member Adam Schiff (D-CA) a platform to urge final passage of info-sharing legislation they have cosponsored.
