FTC chief Ramirez voices support for FCC privacy rules

Federal Trade Commission Chairwoman Edith Ramirez said she supports the Federal Communications Commission's proposed privacy rules that are being widely criticized by industry.

“Generally the approach that they took is something that we are in line with, and by that I mean: They focus on the importance of transparency; they focus on the importance of providing choice to consumers,” Ramirez told BuzzFeed in an interview to be aired on C-SPAN.
